【揀報】FIFA社交媒體保護服務在2026世界盃小組賽監測逾600萬則貼文及留言，較2022年增長33%。當中8.9萬則被確認為辱罵內容，較上屆激增13倍，種族歧視佔11%，較上屆上升3個百分點。FIFA形容這是「最具冒犯性的內容顯著增加」(significant increase in the objectively worst, most offensive material)。 服務結合科技與人工審查，隱藏約18.1萬則仇恨留言，並向執法機關提交逾100宗個案。FIFA聲明指出：「SMPS旨在保護所有參賽球隊、球員、教練及賽事官員，免受歧視性及冒犯性內容侵害」(protects them and their followers from experiencing discriminatory and offensive content)。 FIFPRO警告，世界盃球員正面對「日益嚴重的辱罵模式」(growing pattern of abuse)，包括線上線下種族歧視攻擊。聲明強調：「這些事件並非孤立，反映出一種系統性問題，不能再被視為足球或社會的常態」(These incidents are not isolated; they point to a systemic pattern that cannot remain an accepted part of football or society)。荷蘭球員克魯伊維特、廷貝爾及蘇穆維爾在32強賽對摩洛哥點球大戰失手後，遭大量種族歧視攻擊。FIFPRO重申：「國家隊是球員的工作場所，必須受到保護」(The national team is an extension of the players' workplace, and they must be protected as such)。
